Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide manufacturing quality inspection services including manufacturing inspection, quality inspection, quality control, sampling inspection, documentation and record keeping. Completes and maintains all documentation necessary to ensure conformity to specifications and traceability of records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform in-process dimensional and visual audits to ensure compliance to all customer cosmetic and dimensional specifications.
Operate and maintain all dimensional inspection equipment.
Document, record and file inspection results. Communicate inspection results to Production, Processing, and Tooling personnel.
Perform start-up and restart verification of part performance to specifications of all molding machines and secondary operations.
Assists shift employees with quality issues and/or measurement techniques.
Assists in the inspection of incoming materials.
Complete and/or verify data into the computer systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.
Provides a ‘Customer Services’ attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Education or Equivalent Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience in Quality or similar role.
Willing to work as a team and make decisions within authorized responsibility with little to no supervision.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Have a functional understanding of cGMPs.
Willing to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary.
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time may occur as well.
If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues.
Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet.
The ability to be able to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds for manufacturing positions or 30 pounds for administrative positions is required.
